Ian,
You'll need to elaborate a bit - there could be a couple of messages at that point - one would be asking about resetting merchandise data, and the other would be about your journal.
Either way there's more detail on both of these in the manual: http://keyhut.com/postip3.htm#journal and http://keyhut.com/postip3.htm#network (bottom section discusses resetting merchandise data, specifically in a network situation).
A reminder to all users - when asking for help, to please specify clearly where you are experiencing difficulty. What did you press? What messages/errors appear on-screen? There's a sticky topic about writing good reports in the forum.

Reset merchandise data
Ian,
When you "reset the merchandise data" after closing the register it will go to the stock table and reset the "Pieces sold" and "Value sold" columns to all zeros.
Andrew,
Yep, details are very helpfu, fortunatly he also posted this in the chatroom

Re: Reset merchandise data
Thanks Dale, I just thought a timely reminder was due about explaining situations clearly was needed. I don't get much chance to visit the chatroom nowadays otherwise I would have known what Ian was referring to.daleadmin wrote:Andrew,
