inventory stock minus stock

Post by IAN » Tue Oct 24, 2006 2:13 pm

righty, a friend i just put a DHPOS system in for owns a petrol garage, he wants to be able to sell by litre which he can but wants to do stock inventory on this too, basically its easy to sell by litre but wnats to have some sort of stock alert when it get to 800L in a tank/punp.

i see you can have warn on 0 lines then it jumps to 1000 which is very high, it would be good also to be able to type in how many you want the warning to be in, am i missing something? or can you help me?

Ian,

Sorry, the program will not warn you when the stock is low, only when you are out of it.

However when you ring up an item in the middle of the screen it will tell you how many you have in stock.

Ian, the bit which jumps from 0 to 1000 is the number of "lines" in the stock table this "no stock" warning will appear.

For example, if you only wanted to be warned of zero inventory for the first 1000 products in your stocktable, then you would set that to 1000.

ahh i see now :D

is there a way to have a report that can/and will print when an item of stock becomes low?

i usually do 8,L,1 but that only shows what you have sold with the ammount of stock which could be a lot of items with many instock items that dont need to be checked less than 10 items...

any ideas?

Purchase.exe

Ian,

Check out the PURCHASE.EXE program http://keyhut.com/postip9.htm#purchase

It will not only tell you what items have an "inventory" less than the "model" amount but will group items by vendor.
