Pos crashes

Post by FOSTER » Fri Nov 04, 2005 5:04 pm

Guys, I have the 6.13 version of the software. I copied the files from my current computer and downloaded to my laptop. Upon doing so, when I went into the poscong, Printer Setup: the following message appeared path/file access error in line 1 of module pos f1g2 14f6:7f98

When I press esc, the software closes down.

Same thing happens in Receipt language.

When I opened the pos file, and press enter, a similar error message appeared.

Any help can be greatly appreciated. note, on the computer I copied this from, the program is working like a charm

Network?

Post by Dale Harris » Fri Nov 04, 2005 5:39 pm

On the old computer was the program set to run over a network? If so is the PATH to the GLOBAL folder on the old network valid on the new computer?

If not return to the old computer, reset the PATH to blanks, and then copy the ?????.POS file to the new computer.

pos crash

I checked the old computer and the path was set to local. It was never part of a network. Any other suggestions?

?????.POS

Post by Dale Harris » Fri Nov 04, 2005 11:33 pm

Foster,

It sounds like the program is trying to access the ??????.POS file where all the configuration information is stored and for some reason it cannot. Are you running another copy of any of the POS program files in another window on your computer? If any other program is accessing the ??????.POS file then another copy of the program will crash if it tries to.

Another problem could be is if Windows has somehow decided that the file is "archived" and cannot be accessed at all.
Dale
