Stock Table cannot be read when upgrading to ver 6.16

Hi Dale/Andrew,

I am using DHPOS ver 5.04 and am upgrading to ver 6.16. Understand that the stock table format has changed with ver 6.0 onwards and hence will need to be converted.

When I extract the ver 6.16 files and override the existing POS, it does not automatically convert and I am not able to access the stock table i.e. all items previously recorded show as "MERCHANDISE". When I try to run Convert.exe, it fails.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Well I sure hope that you followed the instructions and backed up your files before upgrading to the new version.

Try restoring the .TBL and .IDX files from your backups and try it again. If you still have problems then send your backup ?????????.TBL file to daleharris@prodigy.net as an attachment to an email and I will convert it here and send it back to you.
