Receipt problem & addition problem with 6.10 software

I recently downloaded the 6.10 software and started experimenting to see if I would have any problems. So far, I have come across 2 problems:
1. When the receipt comes out, there is an extra line in between each item. I went to the set up and it is marked
NO for extra lines. How do I fix this problem?
2. I rang up a single sale for $14.00. Somehow, the program deleted .99 and listed the total as 14.07 with tax included. How do I fix this problem. Any help you provide will be greatly appreciated.

What kind of printer? Will your printer print 40 or 80 characters per page?
Did it twll you one the screen why 99¢ was deleted. Did you try ringing the same sale again? Did the problem happen again?

I use an Epson printer. This works fine with the 3.46 version that I currently use. I only have problems when I switch to the 6.10 version. Yes, I can choose between 40 & 80 characters.
On the printer set up, I have checked NO for adding additional lines.
I have had no further problems with the addition/subtraction.
