USB Printers
Post

Hello:
In using POS, I discovered that only serial printers are supported by the program, not those run off of USB ports. I am currently using a Lexmark X1150, which connects to my computer through USB. However, I used to have an HP DeskJet, which connected through a serial port and printed fine.
Just an idea.

nhudson,
No, that's incorrect.
A parallel printer is the best type to use with DHPOS, through the use of the supplementary program "APRINT" (it is included with DHPOS), you can print to serial and USB printers that are setup in Windows.
The APRINT program must be run before starting DHPOS and you must set the printer port to "FILE" in POSCONFG in order to use serial and USB printers.
