NCR 7052 terminal?
Post

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if Dale's pos software is compatable with an NCR 7052 cash register, if so how do I load it?
Can anyone tell me what I need to hook my 7052 up for use besides software?
I have found that most of these pos dealer's do not want to help you unless you buy the system from them even if your willing to pay them for what ever else you need.
Any help to the above questions whould be greatly appreciated!

As long as the terminal has the means for you to put DHPOS onto floppy disk and copy it onto the terminal's hard drive and run it - I don't see why not.
However, other factors come into play such as what kind of printer/connection, keyboard etc come with this terminal.
DHPOS is designed for running on a computer, but in some cases, some tills are more computer-like and are able to run standard DOS software.

Thank You andrewbunn for the quick reply!
I found out the 7052 originally ran off DOS software, I can get the machine in it's bios mode where it say's load program or run program.
I will try downloading it tomorrow evening when I get home from work,
& get back to you after I try it.
One more quick question
Will dales pos software fit on 1 floppy or will I need several for the download?
Thank You Again!

Umm, unzipped - I'm not so sure, my unzipped and running POS folder totals 41 MB.
Best way to check would be to unzip onto a computer and check the size of the POS folder straight after unzipping.

DHPOS can fit unto 3 -5 floppy disks, but the disks must be brand new!! if not the floppy might be damaged and not hold as much information
hope that helps
