Somebody asked me a good question today about the History By Stock feature. Is there a way to look at info for the current day instead of by the month? A suspected shoplifter was in their store wearing a pair of sunglasses they sold in the shop and the sales person asked the guy if he wanted those too & the guy said that he was in the shop earlier and paid for them then. The sales person then looked into the computer and saw that 3 identical pairs were sold this month. By now the guy was gone and the sales person was looking at journals from the day trying to figure out if he did actually pay for them or not. Nope. Too Late he was no where to be found for furthur questioning... Is their an easier way to track this in the computer?

Nope, it's per month.

History must be turned on using POSCONFG.EXE, you must be using a stock table and be keeping track of inventory.
A sales history is the record of which merchandise you have sold by stock number, pieces and dollars. From "today" you may go back 1 to 12 months. 1 month is the current month so if it is the 5th of the month the history will only be for 5 days. History always starts the 1st of the beginning month. History is updated at the end of every transaction so it is always current.
The sales history file is 624,000 bytes long, consider this before turning "history" on. History rolls over after 12 months, ie. month 13 will overwrite month 1.
