POs640c dies - bug perhaps

Post by Robert_Nel » Sat Nov 24, 2007 1:03 am

Hi Dale,

POs6.40c and Pos6.40 on several occasions used to die . Last Night this happened a couple of times , however the one time the screen froze long enough for me to write down the following error :

" Out of stack space in line 7 of module POS3 at address 2f9d:827c
Hit any key to return to system"

Hope this helps .

Using XP pro sevice pack 2 .
I run a media center playing MP3's through to a amp from about 10am to 3am the following morning while using Pos, on the same pc.

great program.

Robert,

A guy in the topic at the top of this page also complained of this problem and I asked him to replace his POS.EXE file with this one http://www.dhpos.com/pos640cx.zip as a possible fix but he never reported back. Can you give this a try and let me know if the problem is fixed?

This assumes that you are using version 6.40c

Robert sent this email to me...

Hi Dale ,
Sorry for the late reply. I installed the fix last night and it may have solved the problem. However we were not very busy , I'll be working tonight and will check again . Last night there were no crashes.
I can't seem to be able to post this reply onto the forum
Thanks

Robert,

Thanks for testing out the bug fix. I have put it into the new version 6.40d and have uploaded it to the site at http://keyhut.com/pos3.htm

Dale
