A post from NIZAM...

I am usig the POS639B version. It's work fine with all my hardware including my cash drawer but only one problem " When i scan product barcode with Alphabet and numbers only the numbers appear in the POS system" Is there something that I miss ??

NIZAM,

First off all are you sure that the barcode actually has letters in it? Try this, run your word processing software and then scan a barcode. It will come out on the page of your document. If the text does not have letters in it then the barcode did not have letters in it.

If it does have letters in it then the other problem is that stock numbers in the stock table are just that, numbers. You cannot enter letters into a stock number. However you can enter letters into a "vendor stock number" and you can then use the vendor number to ring items into a sale. However the item will still have to have a regular, all number, stock number.
