Receipt Numbers Question

Post by Sulk » Thu Jun 29, 2006 8:49 pm

Is there a way to track down receipt numbers from sales (purchasing)? I think that returns should be verified by the receipt numbers. I can't seem to find it in DHPOS.

Voids

Sulk,

If you have used the "Sale recording - VOIDS" feature in the POSCONFG.EXE program to enable the recording of up to the last 10,000 transactions then when you at the main Cash Register screen you can press "5. Voids" to look up the transactions that are still in the file.

This will allow you to step through the file a transaction at a time or to enter the transaction number to jump directly to that transaction. However to find the transaction number you would have to have the receipt in your hand so what would be the point of that?

Our concern (my boss actually) is when our customer would return the item and exchange/buy another item. I explained to my boss that the returns and purchase receipts would be printed in separate receipts.

Did I explain it correctly?
