How to retrieve lost data?
Post

Hello,
I'd like to ask for help here

The electricity in our area suddenly turned off today that made the cashier computer also suddenly shut down. And when we turn on the computer again and open the program, the data's not there anymore.
Is there anyway to retrieve today's data sales?
Please help, thank you

VNics,
The POS progrm writes all data to the hard drive at the end of each sale. No sales data is stored in memory. Therefore if the computer loses power or is somehow shut off all the data will be there when you restart the computer. The only exception to that is a sale that is currently being rung up and has not been completed.
What specific sales data are you missing?
Dale

Mr. Dale,
Well, it's fine now. We've closed the register and then input each of the sale again.
The lost ones are the sales data from noon to evening (around 12 to 5 o'clock). While the sales data from morning to noon were still exist.
