Pay by giftcard option?

Would it be difficult to add a new line for payment in addition to
cash
check
credit

for gift cards? Gift card value is obviously sold through the stock table, but it would be helpful in reporting it. It currently makes the most sense to process it as a credit sale, but reporting it as a credit sale (vs originally buying the card with cash) adds quite a bit of work to disect it later on.

Any thoughts on this matter are appreciated.

In preperation for X-Charge I have been working on a gift card feature. However this is taking way longer that I thought it would. The main problem is not the gift card feature itself but adding a new payment method.

i like that , i need that we that feature, we sale gift card and be nice to keep track of them, now wedo it via paper work
