Hi,
I would like to know if the POS can run in higher resolution as my LCD monitor (15") could not support lower resolutions. (Min. 1024X768)
I have checked and it is not Windows XP problem. I have checked on the monitor's manufacturer website...1024X768 is the lowest resolution my monitor can accept.
Please advice any work around besides changing monitor.

DHPOS is completely reliant upon your computer to set screen/monitor settings.
There is nothing in DHPOS that sets/changes/adjusts to suit the resolution you have set - this is an operating system/hardware set issue.

You can make the POS window bigger by increasing the font size. To do this under Win 2000/XP, right click the title bar, then click on "Properties". Under the "Font" tab, you can choose a larger font.

Well you can choose a larger font - but I prefer to run DHPOS, and most DOS apps in full-screen, but then again I'm pretty blind

Just some side info, some LCD monitors simply CANNOT display a full screen text mode screen once windows is loaded. The reasons behind this are a bit complex but a quick explanation is simply that the windows driver used with many LCD panels doesn't always support switching to a mode below 800x600 (even though the LCD clearly supports such a res, as evidenced by the "boot time" screens before windows loads which are 640x200 or 640x400)
Anyway, just for the techies out there. Sometimes swapping in a new video card will work, but it doesn't hurt to ask the LCD and vid card manufacturer about it.

i have the same problem on my laptop and i would agree with Jonathan. If i put dos on my laptop it works well. it all so depends on type LCD monitor i.e. analoge or digital. analoge works diffrently from digital ones.
