cutter bar issue

I have an epson T88iii series printer and the cutter bar works fine when printing sales receipts and the CLOSE report. It does NOT cut the paper when any other report is printed. Curious if this is the intended behavior or not. Would love it if the paper was cut after every print job.

What version of the POS program do you have? The cutter bar issue was a problem several versions ago but I thought I had fixed it in recent versions.

The current version is 6.35.

I am using 6.28d.

I'll download 6.35 and see if it clears up. I haven't updated since 6.28d because the newer features offered don't offer anything of value to our situation. If this bug was in among the fixes, though, that would definitely be good for me.

Please remember that new releases often include bug fixes as well as new features. Checking Dale's website is a quick way to find out what's new/been fixed. Or by checking the forum, where Dale summarises changes in the latest versions.

I had already checked those places you mentioned, and, there is no entry made in either new features or bug fixes concerning cutter bar operations for any version of the software prior to or since the problem I am describing with 6.28d. Had there been, I suppose I would have downloaded it before now. Downloading new versions of the software with features I neither need nor would use on the hope that a bug fix may or may not be included in it is not a good strategy for me. As for the documentation on the features and bugs, I don't hold Dale accountable for that. He does way more than any normal person ought to to keep the rest of us happy.
