Hi Dale,

I have networked 2 pos programs together, which work fine and I've been using them for some time now.

I want to upgrade my system but do not want it out of action.

My solution to this was to add 2 more systems to the network and network them as a separate network so I could set them up to take over from the original 2 networked pc's, however I cannot get the second 2 pc's to connect.

When I put the path (\\pc0117\global\) into the pc with the pos program and the drive letter it does not let the connection through, when I take out the drive letter it allows the connection through but does not work the pos program. The same path on the original machine (\\pc1520\global\) works and networks the computers together.

Please let me know if there is any way to get the second 2 computers to network along side the original 2. Or if there is some kind of conflict.

regards

Mark

You can't use a machine path - you have to map a network drive to that machine path. This is in the networking instructions (manual: REGISTER.TXT).
