i dont know if my wires are crossed are installed wrong.
i cannot get the cash drawer to open or my printer to print.
please help.

Nothing in the POS program has as many variables as the printer set up. You have given us no details on how your printer is set up or even what kind of printer you have. For example how have you set the following parameters....

Print receipts on a printer.
Print on a page printer or print continuously.
Number of blank lines between receipts. (Continuous) 0 - 20
Number of top margin lines. (Page) 0 - 5
Number of printed lines per page. (Page) 50 - 70
Number of bottom margin lines. (Page) 0 - 5
Use form feed at end of page. (Page)
Print 40 or 80 characters wide.
Print 1 or 2 receipts per transactions.
Print an extra receipt for credit sales.
Save journal info to a text file to print later.
Ask before printing sales receipt.
Ask before printing opening receipt.
Allow printing of sales checks.
Forced line feed.
Pause before printing second receipt.
Print blank line between items.
Print additional alternate transaction numbers.
Number of digits in receipt transaction numbers.

What make and model of printer do you have? Is it a page printer or receipt printer? Does it connect to your computer through the parallel printer port, serial port, or USB port? Are you using the APRINT program? Have chosen the correct output port for your printer? What version of Windows does you computer use? What printer driver is your computer using as the default driver?

I am assuming that no matter what kind of printer you do have that you have properly connected it to your computer, plugged it it, loaded paper into it and turned it on?
