I have a small non profit store that Special Needs Children help me run. This is a fabulous program and the instructions were very clear. The hardest was to figure out how to input stock numbers because I don't really have a vendor for all the products I sell, some are made by the children.

I would like to see a talking feature for my visually impaired workers or to be able to enlarge the font of the items that are being rung up. And also make the register screen larger. Any or all of these things would help me greatly in making sure that the children working in my program will be successful this is a GREAT lifeskills tool I thank you so much for creating it.

Bridget,

Thanks for the nice note I am glad that the program is useful to you. In reference to your "Make the screen larger" question the POS screen will fill the monitor, I cannot make it larger than that. If the POS screen does not fill the monitor for you then hold down the [ALT] key and press [ENTER], that will make if full screen.

As far as having a talking version of POS or increasing the font size is concerned you have to realize that this is DOS software and it is not possible although making the program run full screen (see above) will technically increase the font size.

What exactly would you like the program to be able to read? Items as they are added to an order, totals, and the like?

Let me know. If your running under windows it might well be possible (dale, another possible application of the pole.dat file)

You can also get physical magnifiers which attach to the screen, or try using a larger monitor.
