Error in ringing up sales

Post by Melvyn » Sun Oct 10, 2004 9:39 am

Hi Dale and Andrew,

I am running DHPOS ver 6.16 on network mode in WinXP. I had written in another thread about an error I get when ringing up sales. The error occurs after I enter the payment amount into the payment type and is reproduced below:

DISK ERROR - - Possible causes

No such disk drive <C:>
No disk in drive
Wrong disk in drive
Disk not formatted
Disk write protected
Disk full
Disk inserted wrong
Disk door, not closed
The file 'COMMAND.COM' not in the disk or bad

1. Problem is fixed, resume disk access
2. Problem unknown or insurmountable, end disk access
3. Problem unknown or insurmountable, restart program
4. Problem unknown or insurmountable, end program

I would press option 1 a couple of times and it allowed me to close the sale. So I thought it shouldn't cause me any issues.

However, I encountered an instance (when I selected a customer record with the sale and added a discount) when it didn't let me proceed. So I had to end the program. Tried it a couple more times and couldn't get pass the error without closing POS.

Funny thing is, I don't encounter this when I run v6.16 on standalone.

Has anyone encountered this before? Need some help here.

Thanks!
Melvyn
