Couldnt you just create a shortcut to the program in your Windows Startup folder? It would automaticaly start with Windows without messing with the registry, nor would you have to download any software for it.
Just a thought.
this way...

This way, you can run POS in real-mode DOS. Also, your employees don't have access to a GUI (windows) to easily change stuff and accidently erase things while their snooping around. All you have to do to get out of POS in Windoze, is hit Alt-Enter (unless, of course, you disable that keystroke, then you have to close the register

An easy way is (if you have 3.1/95/98 and maybe ME):
- Find the AUTOEXEC.BAT file on your hard drive (usually in the root, e.g. C:\)
- Open the file in notepad - don't run the file by double clicking.
- Add the line to the end:
C:\DHPOS\POS.EXE
if your folder is not DHPOS, then rename it to the location where you have POS installed.
The AUTOEXEC.BAT is run before windows starts, note that most new versions of windows don't have an AUTOEXEC.BAT file as they phase out the use of DOS.
