POS PAYROLL

I can't get the payroll to work. I put in the 'pos location' box this: C:\PROGRA~1\POINTO~1\ as my point of sale is stored in the Point Of Sale folder in Program Files. It comes up with error 72

Error 72 is a disk media error (some sites report it as "Print or Disk Redirection is Paused") - this is not a Payroll error. Are you sure this is what you got? Also - make sure Payroll is in C:\ABSOFT\POSPAYR

With DOS programs, it is usually best to have them in a DOS compatible folder, that is not within any folders that have names longer than 8 characters.

Thus, I suggest your POS folder be something simple and complies with the 8.3 naming convention. My POS is in C:\DOS_APPS\DHPOS and Payroll can access it fine.

Eventually a new windows version (which funnily enough, I have been working on tonight) will be available which will fix this, but until then - this must suffice.
