Forgive me if this is a stupid question. Im trying to learn the POS process.
At the end of closing the register. It ask if I want to reset data merchandise. What data merchandise is this referring to.?

How come the Journal or sales report does not show the actaul total of how much was made? It shows total $0, but does show the total of the Taxes paid.

It resets the item sales data for the period since you last reset it. e.g. how much of everything you sold, and starts a new merchandise sales period.

You would find this information in the manual "REGISTER.TXT".

It resets the "Amount sold" and "Value sold" columns in the stock table to all zeros.
