See the "New to 6.08" note below.

New in version 6.07, 3 bug fixes and a new feature.

New feature.
In keeping with my policy of no longer saving user's from themselves you may now use the "Printer setup" feature in the POSCONFG.EXE program to set the Cash Register program to ask before it prints the opening receipt when the cash register is started. If you choose not to print the opening receipt the cash drawer will still pop open but there will be no transaction and therefore no entry will be made into either the sales record file or the journal file.

This is an absolutely terrible idea. The purpose of the opening receipt is to make certain that the register sales totals were reset when the register was closed, and if not, to tell you how much is being added to today's sales that should not be there. If you do not print an opening receipt the next thing you should do is to go to the "close" screen to make sure that all the totals are actually zero.

Bug fixes.
When you set up the register to print two receipts and to pause between printing each receipt it would not pause if you set the program to print to FILE: and were using the APRINT program to print using your Windows printer drivers.

If you used "Printer setup" to use the "Forced line feed" on networked computers the POSCONFG.EXE program would put the setting in the LOCAL folder but the POS.EXE program would look for it in the GLOBAL folder.

If you set up the program so that it required a password before you could access the tax setup feature from the POS.EXE program it would not ask for the password and let you into the tax setup feature without the password. It would also allow the user to make many more changes in the tax setup that should have been allowed. The program will now require a password (if one has been set up) and only allow some of the tax information to be changed. Use the POSCONFG.EXE program to make any change in the tax setup feature.

Handy for testing though

The reciept printing at startup drives me mad when I'm testing DH-POS, sending reciepts flying out everywhere - so its a good thing with a disclaimer.

When using PIN numbers and printing reports the program will no longer ask for the PIN number for the employee for which you wish to print their sales or merchandise report. You just have to pick the employee from the employee list.

Searches of the stock table by either description or vendor stock number are no longer case sensitive. This includes ringing up the item by vendor stock number.
