There is a serious problem with the Stock Table in 6.04. It also happens when you press
F1 in a sale. The Stock Table got all messed-up when it got converted to 6.04 format. I have a backup of the .TBL file, made automaticly by the POS CONVERT PROGRAM.
Here is an image of what the Stock Table screen looks like (accessed from POSCONFG):

Chris,
Program is OK, your stock table is corrupted. Use a backup of your stock table or send your ????????.TBL file here as an attachment to an email and I will try to fix it.

Which one, The backup (non-converted one) or the converted one.
I think it was fine until it was converted.
Is this a problem with the POS CONVERT program?

Hey, today my stock table seems to be corruted but i was found the problem. I have the 5.05 version installed in C:\POS and 6.04 in c:\POSBKP (copy of C:\POS with 6.04 unzipped over it). The FIRST TIME that i try to run 6.04 from the direct access icon into C:\POSBKP, the stock table looks like Chris says, but when i run the program from the program file (POS.EXE) the stock table is OK. I think that the direct acces icon into C:\POSBKP was pointing to POS.EXE into C:\POS (BECAUSE C:\POSBKP IS A COPY FROM C:\POS) and not to POS.EXE into C:\POSBKP.
Bye!!
Backing up.

I have a few old customers using The General Store (Dos). I am using ARJ backup in a batch file that runs automatically each night via Task Scheduler in win9x. I use arj because I am able to create the filename based on todays date. Every month or so... just do some housecleaning. We all know that the latest backup is not always the best... sometimes the data got corrupted x days ago. Just my .02[/img]

Tried to e-mail it, didn't work for some reason.
Tried to upload it to my server, didn't like the file type.
I guess i will try e-mailing it again.

With emailing files these days - you will normally have to zip the file first.

Chris,
I unzipped the file you sent to me (st-backup.tbl) and loaded it into POS version 6.07 and had no problems at all.

Try The 6.04 Converted one, It isn't working.
And I cant use the backup file in 6.04 because it converts it from the 4.28 working version of the file to the 6.04 non-working version of the file.
So the conclusion that I have come to is that the POS CONVERT Program in destroying the Stock Table.

Chris,
If 6.04 is trashing your stock table then I guess that upgrading to 6.07 would be a really fine idea.
