I have an axiohm receipt printer which works, as i use it with my pos system.

Today i decided to start using it on another computer and start a new POS file. Now for some reason when ever i get to a stage(to print and open drawer) in the program it completely freezes. Then about 10 minutes later it goes back to the main screen, and i have no receipt. I have tried creating new pos files etc but its still doing the same.

Can I assume that this printer connects to the computer through the parallel printer port and that you have tested the printer by loading your word processing software on the new computer, typing in some text, and then printing it on the receipt printer?

hey thanks heaps for your help, but the printer lid wasnt completely shut, hehe sorry
