Hi All
I am trying to setup the POS software. Everything seems to work except the receipt printer. I am getting an error message:
"Device Fault in line 7 of Module POS3 at address 23DB4540"
A neighbor of mine with the same equipment setup convinced me to try the software. I have used the same set up he has.
Can anyone help with this issue?

rmardell,
How about some details? What kind of printer? How does it connect to the computer, serial port, parallel serial port, USB port? What are you trying to print, receipt, report, other?

If you load your word processing software and type something, can you print it on the receipt printer?

I tried printing from several applications to the receipt printer. Should I bail on the receipt printer for now and just use my Laser Printer. Yes, I did have the Epson as the Default printer. I have even tried uninstalling all other printer applications to allow the Epson to be the stand alone printer in the system, no luck. I have tried going from the parallel port through a typical parallel cable and from a USB/Parallel cable.
Did it work?

rmardell,
You said that you tried out the printer with other software but you did not say if it worked.
If it did not work with other software then the problem may be with the printer. You said that your neighbor has the same equipment. take your printer over there and swap them. Will your printer work on his setup?
If it does then check your computer. Connect another printer to the same port on your computer and see if the other printer will print.

one thing to remember is to set up aprint32, when you set it up for 1 printer you need to re-setup for the other printer.
i did this i used an a4 prn then i got a rcpt prn but i forgot for 5 mins why it printed on a4 then when i took off the prn it came with an error! may be its the same for you, or are you actually using aprint?
also check all the propities with the prn as what paper/feeding/cutting in windows
i hope this helps tell us how you get on

Why would I be getting program error,
"Device Fault in Line 7 of Module POS3 at address 23DB:4540" if it was a printer error?

rmardell,
Because a printer is a device. If your printer is not functioning, or your computer is not able to access the printer, then it is a device error.
