Print an Extra Reciept for Coupons/Line Reductions/Discounts

Post by ChrisKraus » Thu Mar 23, 2006 8:21 pm

I've seen things like this in some stores. It prints out an extra reciept for transactions that involve a Coupon, Line Reduction or a Discount. I believe that when stores go to redeem coupons from the vendor, they need to have a reciept for the transaction that the coupon was used for. These would be attached together and put into the register's coupon file. Also, for Line Reductions and Discounts, The reciept could print out with a "Reason" box or something of the like, to be written in by the cashier and put into the registers file. Possibly it could work something like this?

Enable Extra Reciepts For

Code: Select all

[ ] Coupons
[ ] Line Reductions
[ ] Discounts
Reciepts for Coupons & Line Reductions - Select One Option

Code: Select all

[ ] One Extra Reciept, Reguardless of How Many Coupons/Line Reductions
[ ] One Reciept for Each Coupon/Line Reduction in the Transaction
Options for the Extra Printed Reciept

Code: Select all

[ ] Put a "Reason" Write-in Box on the Bottom of Reciept
[ ] Put an Extra Footer

[TEXT BOX FOR EXTRA FOOTER]
Just Something I Thought of For The Stores that Keep Track of Coupons/Line Deductions/Discounts.

Not a bad idea, in the interim:

- Coupons should be put into your till when redeemed
- DHPOS keeps a tally of discounts and you can always check your journal for reductions
- You can also reprint those transactions from the Voids menu if you enable the option in POSCONFG

Not ideal for some, but it's all there.

ChrisKraus,

Until the local villagers surround my home bearing torches and pitchforks this is not going to happen. :)

Sometimes you might need to know what coupons were redeemed on what transactions. Also, you may need to write down the reasons for Line Reductions and Discounts.
