The bad news is:- I have managed to lose a parked sale.

The good news is:- I have a full backup containing the parked sale.

The question is:- 1. How do i retrieve the parked sale so that it can at least be viewed? and
2. Why has it now happened twice that a sale is lost when i want to return to the sale from displaying the total of the sale?

Using a networked 6.37f

Any help will be appreciated.

Copy all your DHPOS files to a new folder, including the backup of the sale - and run POS from there to view the sale.

You are going to need to be a bit more specific - but it sounds as though you are retrieving the sale from the parking lot, subtotaling and then perhaps pressing Esc?

If I recall correctly this voids the sale (unconfirmed, haven't had a chance to check this). However as soon as you retrieve a sale from the parking lot, it is "unparked" and vanishes from there - you either have to complete it with a tender or re-park it.

Thank you for your reply and explanation.

I managed to retrieve the parked sale and will be more carefull in future.

Again the importance of backups is substantiated.

It is a pity that parked sales cannot be saved or printed in some way.

They can be printed, enable the print sales check function in POSCONFG. Then, in a sale press + to subtotal and select the option to print a sales check, it will prompt you to park the sale.

Completed parked sales go into the transaction file like any sale and can be reprinted from the Voids function, if you enable reprints in POSCONFG.

Thanks a lot.
I knew about the re-prints from voids, but the sales check function will be more usefull for me.
