Anyone had experience of such a system? Does it have to have special software to make it run or would POS run on it?
There's an Epson IM-300 on eBay just now but I don't know whether I should be interested in it or not

Sadly DH-POS does'nt support touchscreen, BUT the Epson IM-300 till is an excellent machine, In fact on the IM-300 the touchscreen was optional oddly many stores use a keyboard!!!
For those that don't know, the IM-300 is a Pentium 200MMX based box with a DSTN (TFT optional) LCD mounted to the front, 16/32Mb EDO RAM, 2.1Gb 2.5"(Laptop) HDD and an integrated Epson TM-T88II printer, pole display and various ports. (The newer IM-310 is a Celeron based unit with CD-ROM and standard 3.5" HDD)
Only problem is I can't remember if the integrated printer is serial or parallel - if its serial then is probably useable if you install the Epson T88 windows partial cut drive and Jon's Aprint program.
I'm trying to get hold of a Wincor Nixdorf Beetle M to test functionalily of DH-POS with certain powered serial devices (scanners etc)

Currently testing POS on an IBM 4694-207 (upgraded to PIII 850, 256Mb RAM, 80Gb HDD and a SNIKey 12.1" Touchscreen TFT connected to a SNIKey controller card)
