Back from a trip to my local supermarket, and I noticed a new feature on the dockets. Some items had a $ before the name, then down the bottom it said '$ indicates items on sale' and 'By purchasing $ items, you saved: $xx.xx'
could you do this in dhpos?

Dale,
How much code space are we talking? It would be a nifty addition, and customers like seeing the total saved on a transaction. Infact the company I work for requires that the cashiers read off the amount saved at the end of a transacton to the customer. Goes something like this...."Thanks for stopping in today Mr/Mrs Smith, you saved $X.xx with your card today." True, we use the loyality card, and their last name is displayed on the cashier's side....doesn't take much to figure out if they're a Mr or Mrs.....though sometimes it gets touchy. But that's not where I was going with this. I do think it would be a nice addition, if we can afford the space.
