Hey ya'll,
I am going to be an assistant store manager for a new
resturaunt opening near my area. I am in charge of all
backoffice operations (I have to write policies, forms,
set up the POS system, etc.) As always, I am using DHPOS
with POS-Serve (My POS-Serve, not the other one on the net)
but I have run into a preliminary design flaw with the POS-Serve
Server: I need some software to run in the background that is
a full-featured telnet software so I can dial in, download the
DHPOS files, and view reports and such from home. Alternately,
I will need to use the same dial-in to say, update the DHPOS
or POS-Serve software or download a backup of everything.
Does anyone know of a good, preferably free piece of software
I can do this with?
Let me know, either post it here or email me techrobinson@gmail.com
Thanks, Tech

well...
I plan on using 98, just because I have a WIN98 POS-Serve server
already that is clean and just needs the DHPOS files.
I found a couple of telnet server apps, but they are 30 day trials, which is
cool, i can make a scheduled process that runs the uninstall and install
apps every thirty days
. so, I dunno what im'll do. If anyone has
a telnet server and knows a lot about them, then let me know
what all i should do.

AB Tutor Control is fantastic, used at my old job at the training centre - but it's more for the training-environment has some features not really needed for this situation.
