Fixed, maybe
I tried this in the beta version 6.32 B2 and it worked fine. So I guess that I must have fixed it when I was fixing something else.
Maybe I should release 6.32, what do you think?

Just release whenever u feel comfortable...
Since I don't void sale everyday, so it doesnt cause me allot problem...but still wish to have a new release ASAP.
Especially i think u need to fix the associate problem that i bring up in another post...although i dont use report as frequently or really needed it untill i wish to check my sale....
cheers

A penny?
Guest,
Yes, this is why my parents had children, so that one of them could spend endless hours chasing pennies.
I just spent the last hour ringing up sales and then voiding them out. The result is that every void exactly matched the sale that was voided and the net on the closing screen and closing receipt was zero for everything except the "void" total of course. Weeee, what fun!
It is possible however that you have some set of weird tax settings that I have not covered. Could you tell me what your tax settings are or display a sample of a receipt that did not void correctly for you like the example several posts above.
Also, exactly what version of the program are you using? I got caught on this one before where the user said that he was using the latest version so I almost killed my self looking for his problem. No luck. It seems that he just assumed that it was the latest version because, after all, he had just downloaded it a couple of months earlier. Needless to say when he gave me the version number that he was using it turned out that he was 5 versions behind.
And lastly, it's a penny! On a void! While if this is a problem it should be fixed it is not actually a reason to panic. In the last 35 years at my shop I have executed exactly ZERO voids of completed sales. It seems that most of the registers that I have had to use either were not capable of voiding completed sales or did not do them correctly so I have never done a void. I am a "void" virgin. In fact I cannot even remember the last time that I would have wanted to void a completed sale.
So using this fact I would have to guess that the total number of voids that any store would need to do in a month would be about 5 as a generous estimate. So if every single void was off a penny that would be a total accumulated error of 5¢ per month.
The only other possibility would be if a store was manned by complete idiots incapable of correctly ringing up sales. This is too farfetched even to consider.
So with a 5¢ error per month (maybe 6¢ on a particularly bad month) while this would be somthing that should be corrected I do not think that it would be the end of western civilization.
But I could be wrong.
