Dale,
Good day!
I have just found some serious bug on this ver.6.36, If you ring up an item that has a zero inventory into a sale and then you pressed [F5] to void out the sale, the merchandise in the sale was added to the inventory. This only happens when the inventory count of that item is zero. So, if you void 1pc of that item with inventory zero, the inventory count becomes 1 which should not be the case.
Maybe you can look into this. Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Rey

Not a problem.
Rey,
This may be a little complicated.
When you ring up something it is subtracted from your inventory when you enter it into a sale, not when the sale is finished. If you have zero in inventory then when you try to enter it into a sale the program allows you to set several options in the "Stock table" feature of the POSCONFG.EXE program.
"Allow negative inventory amounts in stock table."
When you ring up an item that is not in inventory the program has to create it out of nothing. It puts one (or as many as you are trying to sell) into a sale. If "Allow negative inventory amounts in stock table." is set to "NO" then it leaves the inventory for that item set to zero, if it is set to "YES" then the inventory will be set to a negative number equal to the number you are trying to sell. If you void the sale before you complete it the program will put the items from the sale back into the inventory. When it puts the item back into inventory and the inventory is zero then the new inventory for that item will be 1 (or whatever) however if the inventory for that item is -1 and one is put back the new inventory will be zero. So the point here is that if you are going to be ringing up items that are not in the inventory you may want to set "Allow negative inventory amounts in stock table." to "YES".
"????? to 0 lines. For these lines "refuse to sell" or "display warning" if inventory is zero."
This setting allows you to set the program to do something if someone tryies to ring up an item with zero inventory. Let's say that you sell products and services. You can only sell a product if you have it in inventory however you never have an inventory on a service. Therefore if you set the number setting in this parameter to 1000 and you have a stock table that is 2000 lines you can enter your products into lines 1 to 1000 and you will notified if you are trying to sell an item that is not in inventory. However if you put your services in lines 1001 to 2000 than you will not be notified that you have none in inventory.
