Hi,
I have a question regarding VOID function of the DHPOS.
If i VOID a sale of yesterday or few day ago will it affect anything for the sale today?
For example, if i VOID a sale of yesterday, will there any affect to the SALE or cash in register figure? Will it minus out any figure. I'm not RETURN, I just want to VOID the entire transaction, a mistake transaction ONLY.
Thank you.

Voiding a sale will remove all traces of it as if it never existed.

Only sales in your sales record file (not refunds or anything else) may be voided and then only if they are from the same day. You may also require a password before a sale may be voided.
A voided sale will be totally erased from the register. The sales will be removed from the sales totals, the pieces will be returned to the inventory, even the transaction count will be reduced by 1. The transaction type in the sales record will be changed from "SALE" to "VOIDED SALE". However the amount of all the voids and the number of voids will be recorded in the daily sales report as a separate number, ie. not added into the daily sales.

Post dated voids
lsunw,
This is not a problem because you cannot void a transaction from a previous day. You can only void a transaction from today.
The only purpose of being able to void any transaction is that the transaction is screwed up beyond all comprehension. This should be obvious soon after the transaction has been rung up.
Voids should be a rare occurance. To give an example, my key shop is in a large department store so I must use their POS system. It does not give clean voids meaning that stuff is often a penny or two off and the merchandise will not be returned to inventory properly especially if there was a discount, reduction, or price change. For this reason I have never allowed a void of any transaction in my key shop. Think 50 to 100 sales per day for 35 years, that's a lot of transactions with no void ever.
When there is a problem with a previous sale it can usually be fixed by giving a return on the problem item and then ringing it up correctly on a new sale.
