Extra £1.00 in payouts

Post by Graeme Gove » Mon Apr 25, 2005 8:52 am

I have noticed that when I put a payout through the till and then do a total by stock report, it seems to have added £1 onto the total for no reason.

Any idea whats wrong?

When you setup Payouts, you would had to have setup stock code(s) for the payouts to be recorded against. Hence I'm assuming the payout is now adding towards the stock total for the payout's item in the stock table.

I can't remember if this is supposed to happen, your Payouts setup might be incorrectly setup - I can't check from here as I don't have a copy of DHPOS at work, but I suggest running through the Payouts section of the manual (REGISTER.TXT).

No doubt Dale will be able to say whether or not payouts appear on stock reports.

I have set it up using a code for the payout and it worked fine before I upgraded to the new version.

Graeme Gove,

I have tried to recreate this error with no success. When you say it adds 1.00 to the total please explain the total of what? The total on the receipt? The total payouts on the closing screen / receipt? The total "cash in reg." on the closing screen / receipt? The total what?

On the other hand, while researching this I did find a truly serious problem. It seems that the amout of the payout is being subtracted from the "Z" reading. Since a payout is not a sale or a return it should not affect the "Z" reading at all. I have fixed this and the fix will be in version 6.32 when it is released.
Dale
