Who created the POS store? I assumed it must not be dale asit Uses Capitals At The Start Of Each word, and who would want a bib? Plus, the logos need a bit of work. Maybe just the forum logo with 'Cash Register' underneath

Chris,

So how is it going? Are people buying stuff or are we all a bunch of tightwads?

No Sales Yet.

If you want to mail me a CD of DHPOS, I can mail the CD in to CafePress (the Company that runs the store) and they can sell CD's with the DHPOS Software on it. Just an idea.

I may be a nagging nana but...

- people can just download DHPOS themselves and burn it to CD, it would take them less time and be cheaper/free.

- DHPOS updates regularly so everytime a new update was available, we would have to send it to CafePress

- DHPOS fits on a floppy disk, why would you use a whole CD?

DHPOS CD

Post by Dale Harris » Sun Dec 12, 2004 10:21 am

Andrew & Chris,

I am assuming that if they sell other software that it is on a CD so it would be weird to sell just one on a floppy. And anyway people now expect software to come on CDs and many new computers do not even have floppy drives.

But it is the "selling" thing that is the stickler. Remember the DHPOS is free. No one is allowed to sell it. Even places like Kanecal and POS World who promote my software with their hardware only offer a download link to get it.

I would only be charging for the CD, and not the software. Anyway, I don't get any money currently since I am currently selling at the base price on all items.

I would say the logo needs some work...

I might look into it myself at a later date.

That would mean editing all of the items individually. It took 7 days to post all the items. Second, This is a hobby for me.
