Chris - there is already a thread for Odyssey - if there is news - it will go there, and will appear at the top of the forum list again.

A clear indication of whether there is any news is that the topic hasn't had a new post in it for a while - so my guess is no, there is no news.

This is my formula, I think it makes sense...
If topiccount <= 0 Where forumtopic="Odyssey" Or "Payroll" Then newsupdates = 0

This also goes for Payroll as well - no posts on the forum = no news to report, please don't email me on a daily basis about Odyssey and Payroll progress as I will start having to divert these emails into the "status enquiries" folder where they will be lost for all eternity... :( Feel free to email me with suggestions about the programs etc, but not to ask about where/when etc it will be downloadable...

I understand that there are a lot of people interested in both these programs and I am working on them, but they are a hobby - I work some horrendous shifts at all hours of the day and am on call anytime I am off duty - sometimes getting 4 hrs sleep between shifts.

This doesn't leave much time for programming, eating, or bathroom breaks. However I love my job and am currently in line for a promotion and payrise if I continue work on a couple of work related projects. This means my programming time for the hobby projects such as Payroll and Odyssey is almost down to zilch, zero, 0, nada, nothing.

<HR>
On a side note: Please post topics related to something already on the forum in it's existing thread to reduce clutter and confusion for everyone.

This isn't like the old forum where old topics got lost even if someone posted a new message in a thousand day old thread.

Yes, don't just create topics, like many people, when there is a main topic. Dont say post odyssesy news here when there is a giant topic, plus, andrew bunn would post it anyway.

Thanks, I don't intend the message of "if there is news it will be posted" to be nasty - but there's really no better way to explain it.

However at the moment I still have no time to develop Odyssey, the project at work takes priority as I rely on it for a bonus and payrise.
